  Ultra Trail Morzine-Avoriaz
  Location: Races start and end at Place de l’Office de Tourisme, Morzine
  12k to ultra races on technical mountain trails.

  Fetes du Vin 
  Location: Hotel du Lac, Montriond
  10 French vineyards showcase their wines.  Free tasting and the opportunity to buy.  A party atmosphere with the Gypsy Kings playing into the evening.  From 1630pm to midnight.  Public transport (M bus) runs to around 1745hr.  Pre-book a return taxi.

  Alambike
  Location: Chavannes, Les Gets
  A fun, charity-focused team bike event, combined with entertainment and a festive atmosphere.  All ages, abilities are welcome.  The website is in French (right click  to translate) but don’t let that put you off, it really is very inclusive and a worthy cause.

  Pass’Portes du Soleil MTB
  Location: Montriond
  Ride 80km of MTB trails around the Portes du Soleil with food and entertainment stops.  At the time of writing there were a few places still available for the MTB event starting in Montriond.

July 2025

• July 4–6, 2025
  Spartan World Championships
  Location: Morzine
  International obstacle racing with events for all levels, including a sprint 5k and a kids race.  Watch at the start which is at Palais du Sports under the suspension bridge or at any of the obstacles around the village.   The start area has music, obstacles, stalls and a fun atmosphere.

• July 5, 2025
  Fête de la Chèvre
  Location: Village des Chèvres (Goat Village), Linderets, Montriond
  Celebrate local goats with nature activities, kids’ workshops, a concert, food stalls, and artisan crafts. Free entry, 10am–5pm.  The goat village is a popular tourist attraction, with restaurants. a play area and of course lots of goats!  This is the first year they have done a festival.  Access via the Ardent Telecabine (M Bus route) which is ideal for people with limited mobility as there is a petit train that goes from the Telecabine to the village.  Or you can walk there in about  from the SuperMorzine lift in about 2 hours on foot on alpine terrain.

  Downhill Mountain Biking Kids Cup
  Location: Les Chavannes, Les Gets
  Downhill MTB races for kids aged 7–14, promoting fun and sportsmanship in a friendly setting.  This one is only for kids who are experienced at downhill, have all the kit and they need a medical certificate which can be obtained from the Morzine Medical centre.

  Bastille Day Celebrations
  Location: Place de l’Office de Tourisme, Morzine
  To celebrate Bastille Day in style, get ready for a memorable evening with a fiery concert, sparkling fireworks, a dance floor to get you moving, and a refreshment bar to quench your thirst! Everything you need for a wild night!
  9pm: Concert by Reptyll, a rock band covering international rock standards from the 70s to the present day. Around 11pm: Fireworks from the Pléney.  Followed by a dancefloor with DJ.

  Location: Place de l’Office de Tourisme, Morzine
  A week of children’s entertainment including workshops, music, and educational shows. Free, 10am–6pm daily.

  Festival 4 Éléments
  Location: Centre of Les Gets
  A family-friendly festival exploring air, water, fire, and earth through fun workshops and environmental discovery. Free, 10am–6pm daily.

  Morzine Beach
  Location: Place de l’Office de Tourisme, Morzine
  Kids entertainment  – Mountain meets the seaside with sand, deckchairs, games, and beach vibes in the village.

August 2025

• August 3, 2025
  Tour de France Femmes – Stage 9
  Location: Morzine
  Watch the peloton tackle the legendary Col de Joux Plane in the final stage of the Tour.

  Les Gets 4×4 Trials
  Location:  Perriers Car Park. Les Gets
  A dynamic off-road driving competition featuring technical 4×4 challenges.

• August 21–31, 2025
  UCI MTB World Cup
  Location: Les Gets
  Watch world-class downhill, cross-country, and enduro races in this global mountain biking event.  Free to watch, spectators can walk the courses or watch at the finish line.  The downhill is the best attended and the village goes into full party mode afterwards.
