What a fabulous, fabulous chalet. Everything we’d anticipated and more. Everything was so luxurious, and it was so well equipped, particularly the kitchen; we ate in every night and were able to cook up some real feasts! Bedrooms and bathrooms all spotless and sumptuous, all the extras you’d want, warm as toast throughout, and with the hot tub and sauna it was the perfect place to unwind.

The living space takes up the whole of the first floor and features double height vaulted ceilings and picture windows maximising the uninterrupted views of Pleney and Nyon.
There are two seating zones, one of which centres around the fire. The other is focused on the large SMART TV with connection to streaming services.
One of our favourite features of Chalet Pavot is the excellent design and flow of the chalet. The lower ground floor is the “wet” zone and features the excellently appointed ski and boot room, the laundry, the sauna and exterior hot tub access. There is also a shower and toilet on this floor.
There are a number of south and west facing terraces and balconies which get the sun all day and into the evening. The ground floor terrace has the hot tub and some seating, ideal if you want to keep an eye on kids in the hot tub.
All the balconies have some seating including those off the bedrooms. An outdoor dining table and benches for about 8 guests and a gas BBQ are situated on the west facing terrace off the bunk room which gets the evening sun.
The chalet has a lockable garage for bike storage.
There is a cinema room on the ground floor. Plus in the bunk room there is a TV and bean bag seating. You can stream from the internet or access English and French channels. Sonos and individual speakers are available to use in all rooms. If you want to avoid screen time the chalet has a range of board games.
The sauna with a shower are on the ground floor with direct access to the outdoor hot tub.
There is private parking for 3 cars on the drive.
Location
Chalet Pavot’s location allows guests to access the higher pistes of Avoriaz easily, whilst also being only 10 minutes walk away from Morzine village centre.
In 10 minutes you can walk to the Super Morzine ski lift via the suspension bridge. You can access Avoriaz, Switzerland and Chatel via the SuperMorzine ski lift. Just beyond that lift is the village centre.
The top of the Pleney lift is the meeting point for many ski lessons, particularly beginner lessons. The lift gives access to Morzine and Les Gets. To reach the Pleney ski lift, you can either walk past the SuperMorzine lift and across the town square or you can take the free Petit Train service from Super Morzine over to the Pleney.

Just a few minutes walk away is the bus stop to the Ardent ski lift (line M) which gives you access straight into the pistes of Avoriaz, in the heart of the Portes du Soleil. At Ardent you will find the most popular après bar Happy Hours along with another friendly bar and ski hire shops. The easy access and après are why this is the local’s favourite lift.
You can book ski lessons which start from Lindarets which is the area at the top of the Ardent ski lift.
Our ski hire partner, All Mountain Rental is 100m from the chalet.

Montriond is a small village 15 minutes walk from the chalet. It has a couple of bars, restaurants and a convenience shop. There is also a micro brewery below the village which you can walk to along the river.
