Here are 3 new restaurants in Morzine that have opened the last 18 months and which may have escaped your notice.
When you stay in self catered chalets in Morzine, you could well be eating out every night. So why not make a change from your normal haunts and try a couple of new places?
L’Avalanche
This new restaurant in Morzine is just off the roundabout near the SuperMorzine lift. Next door to Alpine Sports. It is a small friendly French restaurant. It is standard Morzine fare, but it is well cooked, and the service is pleasant. There is a specials menu. You need to book because it is very popular.

L’Arret du Bus
On the opposite side of the suspension bridge from Morzine village centre, is a new restaurant called L’Arret du Bus. Named because it is right next to a bus stop. From the suspension bridge turn left and it is about 300m down the road. It is a small place with a friendly atmosphere. They do “planches” – platters with meats and cheeses as well as a wider menu. When I visited, the lunchtime plat du jour was stuffed quail with fois gras, carrot puree and little roasted potatoes. It was delicious and for 16 euros, extremely good value.

Restaurant Bertine
Bertine is a restaurant within the Hotel Neve. It is a little walk out of the centre of Morzine along the Route de la Plagne. Whilst this restaurant and hotel are not new, the entire place was refurbished a few years ago. Since then it has got a great reputation particularly for its cocktails, games room and friendly atmosphere. A link to the dinner menu is below and they also are open for breakfast. The games room has video games and all manner of entertainment for little kids to teens, so a great place to go if you want to let them amuse themselves for a while.
