Travel and accessibility
Morzine is perfectly located to be commutable from Geneva, it is just an 80 minute drive and it rarely a difficult journey.
If you are driving from the UK then Morzine is the closest big ski resort. From Calais it is an 8 hour drive, so its possible to do the drive in a day.
Geneva Airport is also just 80 minutes away and has cheap shuttle flights daily to the UK.
The best ski area in France (in our opinion)
Morzine is in the heart of the Portes de Soleil, one of the largest ski resorts France. With over 650km of pistes easily accesible from the village cente. The 316 slopes are spread across the 12 areas of the resort, the main ones being Morzine, Avoriaz, Chatel, Les Gets and Champery. Relocate the family
If you were couped up in an apartment during lockdown you will want to get the whole family to some open space and fresh air. The family could base themselves here for a month while you work remotely. Or if you work in Geneva, you could commute to and from the city.

If you or one for your family would benefit from french or english lessons, you will find one of the best language schools in france right here in Morzine. The Alpine French School run courses and private lessons throughout the year.
Travel Restrictions
At the time of writing this blog, the UK has a 14 day quarantine for anyone returning from France. France does not have any quarantine requirements in place for UK arrivals.
