Morzine has so much more to offer to keep your trip itinerary sufficiently full – just remember to factor in those rest days too!

Staying in one of our self catered chalet puts you in a prime position to tap into the incredible alpine landscapes and nature.

Here are a few of our favourite spots:

Nyon Waterfall

About a 20 minute walk from the centre of town along the river path, enjoy a refreshing dip in one of this waterfall’s many pools or sign up to the canyoning available throughout the summer.

Hikes, Scrambles and Via Ferratas

There are so many incredible and accessible hikes from Morzine which quickly can take you from town level right above the clouds with 360 incredible alpine views.

Walk up the local peaks such a Pointe de Nyon, Ressachaux and Pointe de Nantaux.

Or if you’re feeling like you’re ready to take it up a notch, you can opt for one of the local scrambles such as Roc d’Enfer.  Remember to always be aware of the terrain & changable weather, be prepared and know your own capabilities.

For those thrill seekers amongst you, you also have the option for a Via Ferrata – The Elephant’s Head in Saint Jean is a popular local via ferrata route.  The required safety equipment can be rented in Morzine or Montriond during the summer.

Lac du Montriond

If you’re not quite ready to brave the colder waters of Nyon Waterfall but still fancy a dip or relax, head on over to Lac du Montriond.  Perfect for an afternoon dip or nap in the sun and you can even complete the day with a summer evening’s BBQ on one of the BBQs provided at the lake.
