Cleaning Procedures for Covid-19

Here at Elevation Alps we want your holiday to be perfect; a clean, safe, and secure place to stay being a big part of that. The comfort of your stay in one of our properties is our priority and considering new regulations for holiday rentals in light of Covid-19/CoronaVirus,  we will be implementing the following additional procedures.


Our staff will always follow PPE during their time in the property by wearing masks and gloves, removing shoes, and ensuring clean clothes, free from public contact, are worn before each clean.

Frequently touched surfaces

In addition to the usual cleaning procedures we will take extra precautions to disinfect frequently touched surfaces:

  • Door handles
  • Appliances
  • Lamp/light switches
  • Remote controls
  • Window handles
  • Thermostats
  • Keys & Keyboxes
  • Hairdryers
  • Stair railings
  • Ironing boards & Irons
  • Bins
  • Hangers
  • Soap dispensers
  • Washer/Dryers
  • Cots & Highchairs

During the period of Covid we will be removing any additional items such as soft furnishings: scatter cushions, throws and rugs, and games, books, paper from the property.

If you do not need certain rooms during your stay then we will ask you not to go in them at all.

Kitchen Area & Equipment

All dishwasher safe kitchen items including extractor fans will be run through the dishwasher.  All non-dishwasher safe items will be thoroughly washed in hot water.   To enable us to do this within a changeover period, some non-essential items will be removed.  In addition to the usual cleaning products used, surfaces and handles will be disinfected.

We will ask you to put as much as you can in the dishwasher and turn it on when you leave.  This allows us to put in another load as soon as that cycle has finished.


Consistently with our standards at Elevation Alps, the bathrooms will be thoroughly cleaned, using bleach and disinfectant.

Beds and Linen

Our linen is professional cleaned and pressed at a local laundry.  In addition to our normal laundering, all beds will have mattress protectors, duvet protectors and pillow protectors that will be laundered for every change in guest.

In order to limit contamination, you will be asked to bag up your own linen and towels so that our staff do not need to touch them.

If you are not using all the beds, then we will not be making them up.


In order to allow us to protect our staff and implement the increase cleaning we need to complete between changeovers, you must follow our departure procedures.

  • Take all your rubbish away with you
  • Fill the dishwasher with dirty and anything else from the kitchen you can fit in and turn it on
  • Strip the beds and put all linen and towels in the grey laundry bags provided
