Hot tubs are important when it comes to booking a ski chalet. Call them what you want; hot tub, spa, Jacuzzi, sinking tired limbs into hot, bubbling pool after you’ve been on the slopes all day is pretty appealing. But there are not many self catered ski chalets in the Alps with private hot tubs. So we are proud that we have hot tubs in more than half of our Morzine holiday rentals.
We were recently shown some statistics claiming that around 50% of all ski chalet searches included a request for a hot tub. Our own enquiries back up this statistic, it is pretty amazing that the requirement often comes above “ski in ski out”. So why does everyone love a hot tub?
Whatever your group make up, someone will love the hot tub. Kids can spend hours happily splashing around, for them it is their own private swimming pool. When you’ve skied with the kids all day, you are ready for a bit of peace and quiet before dinner. The hot tub provides that welcome respite for you, keeping the kids entertained. And if they weren’t tired already, they will be by the time they’ve been in the spa!
An adult hot tub is a different experience. You can relax those tired ski legs and everything else that hurts after a day on the slopes. Take a glass of bubbly into the tub and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Morzine and the heavens. Bliss.
All our hot tubs are professionally maintained by our registered hot tub contractor. They are all private to your apartment, so you wont find anyone got there first. We provide separate towels or robes for use in the spa.
So if you are one of the many guests who need a hot tub for a perfect ski or summer holiday, here are the properties who have one
Altaka 1 – As far as we know this is the smallest apartment with a hot tub in morzine. Altaka 1 is a luxury self catered apartment sleeping 6 in 3 bedrooms. The hot tub is on the huge private terrace and looks at at magnificent view of the village and peaks beyond. The spa has two jet settings and lights, perfect for enjoying the lights of the town and the stars.
Altaka 4 – This large luxury apartment sleeps 9 in 4 bedrooms. The private hot tub is tucked away in a secluded spot but also benefits from fantastic views up the Vallee de la Manche.
Ferme Colline D’en Bas – One of our new apartments for Winter 16/17, the location really is as central as you can get in Morzine. The owners are creating a beautiful interior in one the old barns in the centre of town. The hot tub will sit in the private garden.
Chalet North Star – A large new chalet just 1.5km out of Morine. The hot tub sits on the terrace in the private garden. It has 3 jet settings, lights and a iPod doc for your tunes.
Chalet L’Anton – This is our biggest chalet, sleeping up to 13 guests. The chalet has a large private garden with a large terrace and lawn. The hot tub is sunk into the decking of the terrace. From the tub you can see the slopes of the Pleney and on a Tuesday night you’ll have the perfect view for the torch light descent and fireworks.
