Big Summer Events in Morzine

There is so much to do in Morzine during the summer; road cycling, mountain biking, white water rafting, paragliding, hiking, swimming, the list of out door activities goes on and on.

There are also loads of great events and the list grows every year. Here is this years bursting calendar

Two Cycle Races, one weekend – Sat 17 & Sun 18 June

Paris Nice Cyclo – Sat 17 June & Sun 18 June
Morzine will be a city stage of this hugely important road cycling race

Morzine-Haut Chablais Cyclosportif – Sun 18 June
2 amateur races of 155km and 100km over the Joux Verte, Corbier, Grand Taillet, Jambaz and the famous Joux Plane cols to finish. A chance to climb renowned mountain cols which have featured many times in major cycle races (Tour de France, Criterium du Dauphine, Tour de Romandie and Tour de l’Avenir). Both races leave from Morzine, this year the finish is in St Jean d’Aulps.

Pass’Portes du Soleil, Mountain Biking Event – Friday 23 to Sunday 25 June

This event signposts the opening of the world renowned mountain biking season in Morzine. 80 km of routes with lots of pit-stops serving up throughout the 9 resorts of the area. The center of the event will be in Les Gets with more than 200 international brand a free bike tests.

Spartan Race Weekend – 1 & 2 July

The world-leader of obstacle courses in in town 1-2 July for a weekend of mud, insanely fit people and bucket loads of sweat. The weekend includes 4 courses around Morzine and in there will be activities the village for extra fun!

Harley Days 13 – 15 July

The bi annual event is back and will be roaring its way into Morzine on Thursday until Sunday. The event is huge with over 300k people. This year there will be a Harley Bar in the the post office square and a Blues Brothers Concert as well as the street market, ride rounds, bike shows and general mayhem.

Haut Forts Trail Race – Sat 12 August

Trail running is getting more and more popular and this is a well known route with some beautiful views and summits

Morzine Kids Kingdom – Sat 12 to Fri 18 August

A week of events for kids. Mainly organised in the Tourist Office Square and all for free. We were very impressed with this last year, something different was set up every day and it was very inclusive and fun for all ages.

Mont Blanc Rally – Thurs 31 August to Sat 02 September

The Mont Blanc Rally is part of the French Automobile Championships and this is its 69th year.

At the end of the summer season for the last 20 years Morzine has hosted a key stage in the French Automobile Championships: the Mont Blanc Rally. With special stages around the resort and plenty of opportunities to get close to the cars and the stages
