La Flamme – Restaurant review

La Flamme is a little restaurant next to the Super Morzine telecabin

The menu is pretty standard with Savoyard classics and meat dishes, burgers and pizza.   We stopped for a quick mid week evening meal and had the Chevre Tartiflette and Royale Burger for our main course.  The tartiflette was tasty, just a normal tartiflette with goats cheese on top but it worked well.  All the burgers come with home made french fries which were fantastic.  The burger wasn’t a huge portion but was filling and I wouldn’t have wanted any more.  We finished by sharing a deconstructed tart tatin which again, was lovely.

The prices were pretty reasonable and the house wine was good quality.  2 main courses, a caraf of wine, a dessert and a coffee came to €55 euros.   Of course if you wanted to spend more there were some great looking meat dishes and a much longer wine list.

The seating was more comfortable and modern than I thought it would be.  We sat in the terrace area which has a temporary cover but it was warm and wasn’t drafty.  The service was friendly and pleasant from the two young ladies who were running the place.

This is a great option for a reasonably price good meal in the centre of town.  They are open for lunch and dinner. We will definitely go again.
